Scholarship Opportunities

Introduction

The Teach & Travel program aims to provide opportunities for students. The following institutions are offering a merit based scholarship for their communities based on certain conditions that only applies for discounts of the overall Teach & Travel program price.

Eligibility for Scholarship

 Each institution has its own eligibility requirements. But the general guideline is as in the following description.
  1. Applicants must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  2. Applicants must be a recent High School graduate or a current University/College student.
  3. Applicants must show active presence in one of the following Community Service programs provided by the relevant institution. The amount of funding is as specified in the “Meeting the Requirements” section:
    • Education Services Programs:
      • After School
      • Weekend School
      • ABC programs and events
    • Community Service Projects. For detail please contact your regional coordinator.
  4. Applicants must provide official documents proving their financial income. The amount of funding is as specified in the “Meeting the Requirements” section.

Applicants who meet these criterias have the chance to win the following funding that applies to their Teach & Travel program price.

Education Services Requirement

The applicant may receive a scholarship fund between $250 – $1500. This fund is only applicable for the Teach & Travel program fee.

Applicant must actively volunteer at one of the of the following programs at least once a week for a total of 15 times.

  • After School
  • Weekend School
  • ABC programs and events
  • ABC’s Road Map Conference

Community Services Requirement

Applicant may receive a scholarship fund between $250 – $750. This fund is only applicable for the Teach & Travel program fee.

Applicant must show active participation one of the available projects that is provided by the institution. For detail please contact your Teach & Travel regional coordinator.

Financial Aid Requirement

Applicant may receive a scholarship fund between $250 – $1250. This fund is only applicable for the Teach & Travel program fee.

Applicant must submit official documents.

Teaching Stipend

Each applicant who is eligible for the teaching portion of the program does receive a stipend for the amount of $500. This stipend is paid in Canadian to the student after the program has been finished.
